Crisis by the Numbrers
Both Ends Burning is leading an advocacy campaign to end the international adoption crisis in The Democratic Republic of the Congo (“DRC”) to protect and promote a child’s basic human right to a family.
This crisis would be tragic if even one family or one child were affected. Yet, hundreds of families and children have been affected by DRC’s refusal to allow children to join their loving families. Though numbers fail to convey the urgency of this human rights crisis or the deeply personal emotions and struggles that these families are being forced to endure, they do give some insight as to the depth and breadth of this emergency and the pressing need for it to end.
